Privacy Policy

This policy covers the PowerFold Theory poker training app for Android and this website. PowerFold Theory is owned and operated by Anne Another Thing LLC ("we", "us"). We collect as little as the app needs to work, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- Learning progress. Lessons you finish and quiz results stay on your phone. They are not sent to us.
- Install ID. The app creates a random ID the first time it runs and sends it with each request to our server. We use it to run the daily free limits and your paid access. It is not linked to your name, email, or device.
- Ask Ace questions. When you ask Ace a question, the question and the last few messages of that conversation are sent through our server to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI model that writes Ace's answers. We do not save your questions. Anthropic processes them under its commercial terms and does not use them to train its models.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are handled by Google Play. If you subscribe, the app sends your Google Play purchase receipt to our server, and our server checks it with Google to unlock paid features. We never see your card or payment details.
- iOS waitlist. If you join the iOS waitlist on this website, we keep your email address only to tell you when the iPhone version is ready.
We do not collect your name, contacts, photos, or location. The app has no ads and no advertising trackers.
How we use it

Who helps us run it
We use a few service providers, only for the purposes above: Anthropic (answers Ask Ace questions), Google Play (handles and confirms purchases), Render (hosts our server), and Netlify (hosts this website and the waitlist form).
How long we keep it
Our server keeps install IDs and daily usage counts in memory only. They are cleared whenever the server restarts. Ask Ace questions are not stored by us. Waitlist emails are kept until the iOS launch email goes out, or until you ask us to remove yours.
Security
All traffic between the app and our server is encrypted.
Age
PowerFold Theory is for adults 18 and older. It teaches poker strategy and has no real-money play. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Your choices
You can delete your progress at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing its data in your phone's settings. You can cancel a subscription anytime in Google Play. To ask what we have or to have anything deleted, email anne@hive-rise.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
